3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Show your profile (name, photo, and bio) as a pin on the map to nearby users during active sessions
Enable sending and receiving Like Arrows
Create matches and enable chat between mutual matches
Send push notifications related to matches, messages, and activity
Process in-app purchases
Maintain safety, enforce our Terms of Service, and prevent abuse
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with:
Google Firebase (Google LLC) — for authentication, database (Firestore), storage, and push notifications
Apple — for in-app purchase processing and push notification delivery
5. Location Data
CuPod requires access to your precise location to function. Your location is used only during active sessions to display nearby users. We do not retain long-term location history beyond what is necessary to operate the service.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time within the app. Account deletion will permanently remove your profile, photos, matches, and chat history from our systems within a reasonable period.
7. Children's Privacy
CuPod is intended only for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18.
8. Security
All data is transmitted using secure encryption (HTTPS/TLS). We rely on industry-standard security practices and Firebase infrastructure to protect your data.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also delete your account directly within the app at any time.
10. Push Notifications
CuPod may send push notifications related to matches, messages, and activity. You can manage or disable notifications at any time through your device settings.
